CASUAL UNIFORM STORE ASSISTANT – THE U SHOP, PAPAMOA

Unit 2, 60 Parton Road, Papamoa Beach | Flexible Casual Hours | Community-Focused Role


Do you live locally and have strong admin and customer service skills? Do you thrive on responsibility, work to offer top customer service to our customers and be efficient in the process?
We’re looking for a skilled or adaptable Store Assistant to support the Manager at our Papamoa-based school uniform retail shop – THE U SHOP.

The hours are not fixed but ideal for a person who is flexible with time. We have our busy times in Term 1 & 4 and quieter times in Term 2 & 3.

This role is perfect for someone who is confident, organised, service-driven, and ready to take ownership of the role in a well-established retail environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Supporting families with uniform fittings and advice
• Managing stock and completing general admin
• Running our POS system with accuracy
• Communicating with Head Office and a supportive backup team
• Representing a respected and trusted brand in the school community

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven customer service experience (retail background is a bonus)
• Strong computer skills – Excel, Outlook, and business systems
• Quick learning and confident using new software
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Apparel understanding is helpful but not essential
• Professional, warm, and clear in your approach
